Konaktiva
Yesterday and today I visited a fair at the university where companies introduced them-selves! I had a nice conversation with Diehl which was in the news the days before because some people thought that such company shouldn't be invited to a university ground because 1/3 of them is part of the defence industry... Anyway they are searching for physicist in there non-arms-industry parts! Most of the stuff inside a Bosch dish-washer might be from Diehl. And most of the wires insides a Pentium IV is also from Diehl... But after all the first day wasn't so good as you can see at the first pictures in the body!
1st day
So the first day only ended with around 19 ball-pens ( maybe some more I already used ), a bunch of notepapers, a small car and two thinks I forgot: a yo-yp and some mint-goodies!
2nd day
The second day started alone because all the others just thought to chill at our "fachschaft" ( physicist student chilling room ;) ).
So while grabbing a pen from the "Bundesamt für Wehrtechnik und Beschaffung" one of the "entertainer" started talking to me :)
But the conversation wasn't boring at all because I never thought of the advantages of being an "member of the state" ( beamter ) because you can't get fired and stuff...
BUT when I talked the others that there are beanbags the overrun me to get there!
After the first run I went to our cafeteria where I got some bags filled with other interesting stuff g
And I talked to two more companies! The first one produced piezo-motors and the second one was IBM ( they made this computer .) ) and it was quite interesting again. You wouldn't believe how less of your knowledge after 5 years of physics you'd need... At least IBM and Infenion would take advantage of your skills!
However, my total prey of the day is shown on the right :)
As you can see I tried to lay the pens and stuff of the Konaktiva that way that you can see the companies! Only two pens are different. That are the pen's of a stand which told me I'd have enough pens... ( Stupid *holes :) )
So I'm full of pleasant anticipation for tomorrow ( in 10 hours g )
